Festival of the Outdoors 2025
Every March, as the days are getting longer, drier, and warmer in Sheffield, we celebrate what it means to be The Outdoor City, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.
You'll find everything from large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals.

The Sausage and Cider Festival will be returning to Sheffield for a huge outdoor festival hosted in Don Valley Bowl on Saturday 7 June, bringing together great food, refreshing drinks, and live entertainment.
Danny Bowes - Maximum Chat
Thunder frontman and Planet Rock radio presenter Danny Bowes is set to embark on a UK tour in June 2025 with his highly anticipated one-man show, Maximum Chat. The tour marks a significant return to the stage for Bowes, following his recovery from a life-threatening accident in 2022.

International superstar Lionel Richie has announced a UK and European headline tour with ‘Say Hello To The Hits’ arriving at Utilita Arena Sheffield for the only date in Yorkshire on Sunday 8 June 2025.
Summer in Nashville - Sheffield
Time to don the Cowboy boots and Stetson as Nashville arrives in Sheffield for the first time ever, with a huge lineup of music, games and food on Sunday 8 June 2025.
The Hallé & Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus
The Sheffield International Concert Series season finale will leave you in awe of the wonders of creation. Under the baton of the Hallé’s charismatic Choral Director, Matthew Hamilton, the massed forces of the Hallé and the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus will breathe hope and joy into Haydn’s divine masterpiece, The Creation.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor
Sophie Ellis-Bextor has announced her biggest ever UK headline tour in May and June 2025. Kicking off in Glasgow on 24th May and taking in 15-cities in total including Sheffield, Newcastle, Cardiff and Bristol, the tour culminates at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London.
Oti Mabuse - Viva Carnival
Join the Queen of the dance floor, Oti Mabuse as she celebrates the world’s most electrifying carnivals. From the sambas of Brazilian Carnival to the Tangos of Argentina’s Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia, the dance scene at England’s own Glastonbury Festival and the swing of the Jazz Fest in New Orleans, Oti knows how to party.
Tim Minchin - Songs the World Will Never Hear
Tim Minchin, the incomparable singer-songwriter, pianist, comedian, actor, musical-theatre composer-lyricist and soft-hearted provocateur, is thrilled to be going back on tour with his ironically titled new show, Songs The World Will Never Hear.
