Festival of the Outdoors 2025
Every March, as the days are getting longer, drier, and warmer in Sheffield, we celebrate what it means to be The Outdoor City, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.
You'll find everything from large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals.

No Bounds 2025
No Bounds are set to host another very special weekend of music, art, technology and dancing in Sheffield, when the 8th edition of the festival takes place 10 - 12 October 2025.
Off The Shelf Festival of Words 2025
Sheffield's annual festival celebrating books, words and ideas, is one of the UK’s largest literary festivals. Taking place 10 - 26 October, the festival will once again be bringing some of the biggest names in literary talent, media and the arts to South Yorkshire.
Bow Wow Wow
Their first tour since 2016, seminal new wave outfit Bow Wow Wow (still headed by Annabella Lwin) stop by The Leadmill in November.
Family Concert: The Storm Whale
A brand-new musical version of Benji Davies’ modern-classic The Storm Whale, which tells the story of a boy, a whale washed up on the beach and friendships that will change their lives forever and echo down the generations.
Nigel Kennedy: Heart & Soul
Nigel Kennedy, the best-selling classical violinist of all time, takes to the Crucible Theatre stage for this electrifying evening of music for violin and cello.
The Little Unsaid
A firm favourite, The Little Unsaid return to Sheffield, and it's our pleasure to welcome them to The Lantern. John Elliott has used this moniker for well over a decade now, gaining recognition for genre hopping combinations using elements of alt-folk, electronica, alt-rock and string arrangements.
The Outcharms
Up the Charms – local indie outfit The Outcharms have their biggest ever show in their sights: a coveted Leadmill main room show in October.
Emmanuel Sonubi
Emmanuel’s hilarious and heartfelt show explores his life after surviving heart failure, facing the cause of the trauma, and the strange and funny ways we all find to keep going when life gets hard.
Tom Houghton
After a phenomenal, sold-out, international tour. Plus, a second round of supporting Milton Jones. Tom Houghton, the man who asked us, “Do you ski?” is turning everything upside down and asking, “Do you scuba?”
Wet Wet Wet
Following on from a sold-out tour earlier this year which saw them perform to tens of thousands across the country, the iconic Wet Wet Wet have announced a huge tour of the UK for 2025.
