Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust run monthly practical conservation work days across their nature reserves and need lots of hands to get stuck in.
No matter your experience, ability or availability, every hour you can spare is valued and valuable.
The Trust’s knowledgeable staff will be ready to welcome you and provide tools and training.
They can also help with transport if needed.
Free but places must be booked.
Practical hands-on conservation work. Tasks vary from footpath improvements and access work, to habitat and vegetation management. All volunteer work mornings start at 10am and finish at 12pm- make sure you are at the meeting point by 10 am or you might not be able to find them!
Gloves, tools, and refreshments are provided, but please wear suitable rough outdoor clothing, including waterproofs, hat, trousers and long sleeves and sturdy footwear, and bring some lunch and water.
