Dudù Kouate x NOMAD
Hagglers corner is delighted to present Dudù Kouate x NOMAD.
NOMAD and Dudù Kouate first came together in France in the summer of 2024 for A Vibrant Sound residency, a collaboration with Creative Peaks and Dubrek Studios. The intensive four-day residency of writing, improvising and sharing ideas culminated in a live performance at Le Café Pluche in Épeluche.
This March, they will be recording their debut collective album featuring music from the residency, and embarking on a small UK tour in April. Their sound blends Celtic folk, jazz and African influences - drawing from Dudu's vast collection of over 200 instruments - with classical strings and voice. The result is a joyful and dynamic celebration of culture, collaboration, and improvisation.
Zak Michaud Quintet is returning to Sheffield to support Dudù. His Jazz Quintet takes from a wide range of influences and sees an hour of purely improvised music from bassist Zak Michaud.
