Deviant

05 Apr 2025 19:00 - 22:30

Electro Goth legends return to Sheffield with a full supporting cast!

Deviant require no introduction. Formed in 2004 by charismatic frontman Jay Smith, they became ubiquitous mainstays of the UK dark alternative scene for the next decade, touring relentlessly throughout the UK, Europe, and the US.

Equal parts industrial, goth and pop science, Deviant released two successful albums ‘Barbed Wire Star’ and ‘Very Bad Things’, spawning the classics ‘Access Denied!’, ‘Raptured Saints’, and ‘Wreckhead’. Alongside his own songs, Smith collaborated with many scene heavyweights including Project Pitchfork, Rotersand, Tyskke Ludder, and Angels & Agony.

With a reputation for spectacular and energetic live shows, Smith’s inimitable stage presence, iconic imagery and fist-in-the-air anthems made Deviant a must-see act.

Now, in 2024, Deviant have returned bigger, better, and every bit as vital. On July 6th, they return to Sheffield for the first time in ten years.

Don’t miss this show.

Additional Information

Zeitgeist Zero is a beacon of sonic allure, carving a niche unmistakably theirs in a world where innovation meets tradition. Through their evocative music, their dynamic live performances, and forays into the realm of film, the band continues to push boundaries and shape the contours of the darkwave gothic landscape.

Hailing from the depths of the alternative music scene, anglo-irish Zeitgeist Zero’s unique sonic tapestry marries the intensity of heavy guitars with the allure of industrial electronics, all seamlessly woven together by the enchanting vocal prowess reminiscent of legendary figures like Debbie Harry and Shirley Manson

IAmImperfect are a Sheffield based Synthpop Industrial Goth duo.

Since their debut on Ravenspurgh Goth Festival stream opening for Byronic Sex & Exile in Leeds, and In The Midwint3r Festival in Sheffield, IAI have been turning heads with their sophisticated soundscapes, pulsating rhythms, soaring guitar riffs and rich vocal hooks. For fans of Aesthetic Perfection, Solar Fake and Depeche Mode.

Their first single, Static & Feeling was released in February at a sold out hometown show.  Their second single, Inside Of Me is due at the end of March.

Hurtsfall have a unique approach: with no guitars, keyboards and Bass VI build a rich soundscape as a foundation for frontman Sam Harrison Emm’s distinctive theatrical vocals.

Hurtsfall blend gothic rock, post-punk, and synth/pop, recalling the essence of your favourites with a fresh genre-spanning twist. Based in Nottingham, the ancestral home of Lord Byron, they share his penchant for gothic romantic verses.
