The English Institute for Sport Sheffield (EISS) is one of the country’s best sporting, leisure and fitness centres. Packed with the very best facilities, there’s something for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level or the type of sport or activity you enjoy. Among these facilities are two large gyms full of the very latest kit, as well as a group exercise studio and a dedicated group cycling studio.
Where the EISS really excels, however, is the variety of sports halls on offer. There’s a four-court basketball hall, three-court badminton hall, a 12-court netball hall and a three-court table tennis hall that can also be used for badminton and volleyball.
Another of the Institute of Sport’s premier features is the indoor athletics arena, which boasts an array of professional quality athletics facilities. These include an indoor 200m track, facilities for two high jumps, two pole vaults, two long jumps, shot circles and spectator seating. There’s also a boxing hall, but this is exclusively reserved for GB Boxing’s training purposes.
Away from sports and leisure, the centre also has four seminar and conference rooms available for hire, alongside extensive changing and parking facilities.
