Rivers and Hills

Sheffield graphic artist, Rob Lee, has collaborated with prolific street artist INSA to create an ambitious new artwork for Sheffield. Combining the collective force of their signature styles, they have completely transformed a drab brown-brick facade with an homage to the city's natural topography.

A global health tech revolution

Just as we were (and still are) a trailblazer in industry and modern manufacturing, shaping how the world makes products, Sheffield is now also doing the same in the world of health tech - especially for young people.

Running

From urban jogs and park runs to fells and ultras, the opportunities for running in Sheffield are vast, so we’ve choice-picked some of the best routes and sights to share with you. We also have the city’s dedicated network of Run Routes to keep you on track.

Kelham Island

Kelham Island was named as one of the world's 51 coolest neighbourhoods in 2022 by Time Out. Once the beating heart of industry, Kelham Island is one of Sheffield’s oldest manufacturing sites, except nowadays these buildings house everything from indie shopping arcades to microbreweries and galleries.

Economic Recovery Fund

The Economic Recovery Fund (ERF) ran between February 2021 and April 2025. It was a unique, innovative grant fund that aims to support local economic recovery in local high streets by empowering local groups of businesses to implement changes themselves.
