The Economic Recovery Fund supported local businesses and organisations to get people visiting and spending money in their neighbourhoods. The Steamworks

The Steamworks is an 11,000 square foot blank canvas event space, available for a variety of uses. With a licensed bar and a network of delicious food vendors they can put on truly special gatherings just a stone's throw from the City Centre.

A circular walk from Surprise View

This particular walk is a superb short stroll, suitable for families with young children (although bear in mind that it’s not pushchair friendly) or for those who are looking for a leisurely amble with a café stop en-route. It also works well as a trail run and, if you’re looking for something more challenging, it’s easy to add extra miles via exploring the myriad of paths around the Burbage moors.

Once a utopian social housing project of the same mould as the Barbican in London, complete with its own morgue, police station and school, Urban Splash are now mid-way through their total redevelopment of one of the dominating features of the city’s skyline.
