This Windrush Day 2026 listening session brings people together to share records rooted in community and history. Tracing sonic lineages across the Caribbean and Africa, it reflects on Black identity and honours the Windrush generation's legacy.

Kicking off the outdoor season with a bang! Each March, Festival of the Outdoors offers a full month of events and activities celebrating Sheffield's great outdoors and communities. With a really wide variety of events there's something for everyone!
The home of independent cinema in Sheffield, The Showroom are committed to providing a diverse range of films and related activity for Sheffield and the surrounding region. They host high profile film festivals throughout the year, including the world famous DocFest and Sheffield's very own Adventure Film Festival (ShAFF).
Hosted by the Children's University each year, the Festival of Fun offers a huge programme of activities and workshops for children across Sheffield to get involved with throughout the summer school holidays.
Taking place over ten days each September, the festival celebrates all sides of Sheffield with a whole host of enjoyable walks of varying lengths, with plenty to see and discover along the way. This year the festival will take place 6 - 15 September 2024.
Taking over the Concourse outside Sheffield University Students’ Union, Under The Bridge will run 12pm - 8pm with a FREE outdoor live music, art and street food.
