Sheffield Food Festival 2026

One of the city's largest free to attend events for all the family, the festival is a bustling exhibition of Sheffield’s flourishing food & drink scene, with 90% of the traders taking part, based locally. This year's food festival takes place 23 - 25 May.

Nature and greenspace

Climbing, mountain biking, road cycling, running, walking - we've got some of the best in the world. Seriously. But it's also about how liveable it is here. Green and blue spaces combine to form 61% greenspace (the highest percentage of any city in the world) in the 4th biggest city in England. Which is why we say this is the place where nature and culture intertwine.

Escape Hunt Sheffield

Step into new worlds, solve puzzles and crack clues in a thrilling adrenaline-fuelled race against the clock. Choose from the immersive escape rooms or the outdoor city hunt games and see Sheffield like you’ve never seen it before.

Triple Point Brewery & Bar

Triple Point Brewery are a fantastic craft brewery and bar located 5 minutes from the train station. They brew everything on site, have great food provided by The Twisted Burger Company, and a really nice outdoor terrace - meaning it's a buzzy, lively venue that everyone can enjoy.

HowSt

Straight up the hill from the train station, opposite Hallam University central campus, sits How St. They make everything fresh from local produce, and have a lovely outdoor terrace where you can spend plenty of time supping on a coffee while you watch folks wander past.

Yards Store

The Sheffield Yards Store is located on Pinstone Street and features a fusion of outdoor and heritage brands including And Wander, Ten C, Carhartt WIP, Gramicci, Hikerdelic, RRL, ST95, Hoka, Karhu, Clarks Originals and New Balance to name just a few.

WARMTH Community Sauna

WARMTH community sauna is a little green oasis of tranquillity, friendship, joy and rejuvenation here in central Sheffield. They have a beautiful Finnish style horsebox sauna, a deliciously cold plunge and a refreshing bespoke outdoor shower.

The Climbing Works International Festival 2026

Every year one of the world's most prestigious route setters (Percy Bishton, who co-owns The Climbing Works) gives the elite boulderers of the world something to get their teeth into right here in The Outdoor City. This year's CWIF takes place 21 - 22 March.
