It’s been a successful summer in Sheffield as we’ve hosted a number of high-profile events (the Women’s Euros being a particular highlight) and some of hotels and venues having record breaking months. Conferences have played no small part in this and the team at Conference Sheffield have had one of our busiest and most successful summers to date. Here are a few of our highlights showing why Sheffield really does make for a smart event move.
Sheffield plays host city from 14-16 June for the 20th European Hair Research Society Meeting, held at The University of Sheffield Diamond Building.
Sheffield has set an ambitious target of becoming a net zero carbon city by 2030. The Sheffield Convention Bureau is here to help your meeting run in a more sustainable way, achieve your green objectives and leave a positive legacy for your delegates and residents of the city.
Last week Sheffield played host to third National Dietetic GI Symposium, held at the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria Hotel, on Friday 18 June.
As the sun starts to shine we know that outdoors will once again become to the new indoors for meetings!
Marketing Sheffield has continued to work with Haymarket Events to ensure the 2nd C&IT Northern Forum will be held in Sheffield on 28th and 29th March 2022, originally postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic. The successful joint bid with Cutlers’ Hall, The Mercure St Paul’s Hotel and Spa and The University of Sheffield will see top event planners from across the North experiencing all that Sheffield has to offer.
As the Organisers of the Cycle City Active City conference prepare for the event to open at Sheffield City Hall tomorrow, Russell Cutts, owner of Russell’s Bicycle Shed, Sheffield has this morning taken to the streets on one of his e-cargo bikes to make a collection from a very special Sheffield location and deliver to the conference venue.
