The Woolf Quartet comprising: Zosia Herlihy-O'Brien (violin) Emily Harrison (violin) Beatrice Slocume (viola) Hoda Jahanpour (cello) are 'exciting young artists who bring fresh ideas'.
They are postgraduates from the Royal Academy of Music and currently Learning and Participation Ensemble Fellows at Wigmore Hall. They each have their own rich and varied performance history and a reputation for bringing together familiar works alongside music by contemporary composers that deserve to be more widely performed.
Their programme includes Webern: 'Langsammer Satz', Quartets by Mendelssohn, Debussy and Shostakovich alongside Anna Meredith: 'Honeyed Words' and a new composition of their own.
