Witches and Wizards Halloween Trail

24 Oct 2026 - 01 Nov 2026

Visitors can look out for the spellbinding creatures and characters lurking along the Witches and Wizards Halloween Trail. Young witches and wizards are invited to complete magical challenges and graduate from the School of Magic (and Mischief).

The Wizard Extraordinaire will be casting spine-chilling spells and sharing hocus-pocus jokes throughout the park, accompanied by his friendly companion, Dumbledore Raptor. Guests can wander the woodland walk past mystical dragons and magical owls before peeking into the eerie Witch's Cabin to discover whether its resident witch is home to share potions, spells and stories.

NEW! Crafty Cauldron offers magical indoor fun whatever the weather. Activities include a creepy colouring competition, Witches Hat Hoopla, Monster Mash Bean Bag Bash, Bats Eye Bullseye and Wizard Wind Up Racing, plus opportunities for spooky family selfies with giant Halloween-themed characters.

Visitors can take a seat at the Magical School of Curious Creatures show to enjoy spellbinding animal antics and breathtaking free-flying birds.* The wayward Wizard will also host Broomstick Training classes and a ghoulish Hubble Bubble display packed with fun.*

For thrill-seekers, there is a terrifyingly fun tractor-trailer ride through the haunted grounds, where riders should hold on tight as they may get wet. Brave adventurers can enter the Haunted House maze, where only the boldest witches and wizards-in-training will make it through a maze of frights.

Throughout the event, guests can meet monstrous minibeasts and discover gruesome facts about the park's animals during daily animal encounters and keeper talks. Fearless explorers can also test their courage on the Dino Trail and adventure playground, climbing the Realms of Camelot and enjoying the spooktacular sandpits, zany zipwire and ride-on cars.

Families are encouraged to embrace the Halloween spirit by dressing up in their scariest or most enchanting costumes for a chance to win spooky spot prizes. Visitors can also enter the colouring competition by posting their magical masterpieces into the mysterious Owl Post Box. Extra prizes are available for those who discover one of the hidden Halloween prize scrolls during the monster hunt.

Guests are encouraged to visit the cafés and Jungle Gift Shop for a selection of spooky-themed treats for children and adults alike.

This frightfully good family event takes place from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November, 10am to 4pm. Normal admission charges apply.

Visit and Save! Full-paying visitors will receive a Visit and Save Card, offering savings on return visits for up to a year, including Magical Christmas Experience dates. Terms and conditions apply. Further information is available on the Visit and Save page.
