Stannington Apple Day
Enter the Apple Day Time Machine!
Apple Day is traditionally a rural celebration which uses up a glut of surplus apples in the Autumn.
On Saturday 17 October, visit Stannington for an apple day with a twist!
Enter the time machine to explore how apples were used in the past and how they might be used in the future…featuring apple pressing, apple science, orchards of the future and more – plus community activities, music and food.
The event is free, for all ages, and will take place at Deer Park in Stannington.
As well as coming to the event on the day, there are lots of other ways to get involved.

Does your community group want to host a stall, a game, or an activity? Does your allotment society want to get involved with donating apples, pressing them, seed swapping or growing? Could you volunteer your time to help? If so, Stannington Apple Day would love to hear from you! Please email hello@rivelinco.org to get in touch.
Deer Park is mostly flat with some small inclines, and all parts of this event will take place on the grass (some under cover). There are several nearby bus stops and some parking available close to the park.
