Pocket Stage live music for Snooker Finals Weekend

01 May 2026 - 04 May 2026

As the finals of the Halo World Snooker Championship take place in Sheffield, there will be a special weekend programme of live music to add to the atmosphere in Tudor Square between sessions, 1 - 4 May.

Once again, Lowe Academy of Music and the Arts are delighted to return as the curator of the live outdoor “Pocket Stage” in Tudor Square during the finals weekend.

Audiences can enjoy a vibrant programme of Sheffield-based artists performing a diverse mix of genres, with each set scheduled in the lead-up to key matches, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of the city - scroll down for the lineup and approx times below.

Located under a marquee on the main green outside The Head of Steam, the Pocket Stage offers the perfect setting to relax, enjoy refreshments, and watch live music while taking in championship highlights on the large outdoor screen.

The event is part of a programme of celebratory activity to mark the World Snooker in Sheffield throughout the tournament.

Look out for eye-catching street performers The Hedge Men and Mirror Men, who will also be wandering around throughout the weekend. From dazzling mirror‑covered interactive statues that come to life to chat, dance and pose for photos, to quirky living topiary characters straight out of a fairy tale and ready to give out tree-hugs.

Sheffield International Market will also be back in Sheffield City Centre for the finals weekend too.
