Higher Fields Festival is a brand-new grassroots music and arts festival launching on Saturday 27 June 2026 on Randall Street in Sheffield (S2).
Bringing together DIY musicians, artists, crews and communities from South Yorkshire and beyond, the festival celebrates the city’s vibrant underground scene across multiple stages.
Leading the programme is a takeover from Gut Level, champions of DIY queer club culture, headlined by acclaimed live electronic act Jorg Kuning, with support from MYNA, Betty and Lick Quid Gold.
Over on the Spring Tank Studios stage, Kitchen Radio a key voice in Sheffield’s community radio landscape - host an opening takeover featuring Bonnie and Mae, Dubshack, Robyn Jade and Shananay.
The festival also spotlights the city’s grassroots creative community, with Hatch teaming up with Delicious Clam to present a bold, theatrical takeover featuring Yo Dynamo, Hekla Fell, Ye Woodbeast, Cattlegrid, R_loomes and Büzz.
As the outdoor programme winds down, the event continues with an official afterparty at The Steamworks, hosted by underground party starters GROUNDWORK.
Headlining is re:ni, known for dub-infused techno rooted in UK dance music, alongside Sheffield favourite Ashley Holmes.
