Big Band Weekender - The Fringe at Tramlines @ Kapital

Across Tramlines weekend, Sheffield’s biggest beer hall will be filled with live music from some of the city’s most-loved performers. Expect classic crooner favourites from James Barrington Stephens and his five-piece swing band, modern hits reimagined with brass and big-band flair from Paul Pashley, and a laid-back Sunday soundtrack from award-winning pianist, singer and songwriter Paul Shevlin.

With live saxophone, swing classics, contemporary favourites, tank-fresh Budvar direct from the Czech Republic and plenty of room to gather your mates, The Big Band Weekender is the perfect place to escape the crowds and enjoy a different side of Tramlines.

One of Sheffield’s best-loved performers takes over Sheffield's biggest beer hall this Tramlines weekend. Expect the songs you know, like you’ve never heard them before. 

Joined by a five-piece band featuring live saxophone, Paul Pashley puts a big-band spin on modern classics, chart favourites and sing-along anthems. Think festival tunes reworked with brass, swing and plenty of personality, all delivered by one of Sheffield’s best-loved performers

James Barrington Stephen - 20:00 - Saturday 25th July 

A little bit of Vegas arrives in Sheffield this Tramlines weekend. 

Backed by a five-piece swing band and live saxophone, James Barrington Stephens brings the timeless sound of the great crooners to Kapital. Expect Sinatra, Bublé, Rat Pack favourites and swing classics delivered with effortless style, huge vocals and plenty of beer hall sing-along moments.

Paul Shevlin - 14:00 - Sunday 26th July

Ease into Sunday with award-winning pianist, singer and songwriter Paul Shevlin. 

Bringing his signature piano-led style to Kapital, Paul blends classic and contemporary covers into a laid-back set that’s perfect for a slow, Sunday afternoon. Thoughtfully chosen songs, exceptional musicianship and a relaxed atmosphere make this the ideal way to round off your Tramlines weekend.
