The fishery is one of the largest complexes in the north of England offering anglers a choice of either fly or coarse fishing in separate lakes.
The four trout lakes are well stocked with brown and rainbow trout and no fish are introduced at less than takable size. Most are put into the lakes at 1lb to 1.5lb but there are many much larger specimens to be caught. Some weights are well into double figures.
Four lakes are devoted entirely to coarse angling. The lakes, situated at the east end of the fishery, contain all the variety of fish that you would expect to find in a high quality water. In particular there are some fine specimens of large carp. The lakes are open all year round from dusk till dawn.
