Summer music festivals in Sheffield

Sheffield’s popular music credentials rival that of any UK city, and so, it goes without saying that the city has staged its fair share of live music spectacles over the years too.

2026 is set to be another big year for the music festivals in the city, with a whole host of events celebrating all genres of music, taking place all the way through to October.

Things really start hotting up in the summer months with a number of live music events and festivals taking place at Don Valley Bowl this year, including the 90's Festival Weekender (11 - 12 July) and the return of BassFest (18 - 19 July). 

One of the very major highlights of the summer will see the legendary Fatboy Slim, ready to headline the Friday night of Tramlines Festival (24 -26 July).  Indie band Courteeners are headlining on the Saturday, while Wolf Alice headline the Sunday, with local legends Reverend and the Makers joining the day's line-up.

Taking place on the same weekend as the main festival at Hillsborough Park, The Fringe at Tramlines will also be back with another exciting and eclectic lineup of live music performances and DJs in venues right across the city, including a free outdoor stage on Devonshire Green.

We then return to Don Valley Bowl for Rock N Roll Circus 27 -30 August, with not one but four nights of legendary bands, The Kooks performing, followed by The Streets on Friday, Wunderhorse on Saturday and national teasure, Richard Ashcroft on the Sunday.

Tramlines 2026

Sheffield’s biggest party! Tramlines returns to Hillsborough Park for their 18th edition, across the weekend of 24 - 26 July.

The Fringe at Tramlines

Each year, as Hillsborough Park gets ready to host the main Tramlines Festival, the rest of the city also gears up to stage a whole host of music events for all tastes. Taking place in various Sheffield venues 24 - 26 July 2026.

Rock N Roll Circus 2026

Expect the unexpected as the Rock N Roll Circus return's to Sheffield's Don Valley Bowl in 2026. Set to take place over the weekend of 27 - 33 August, the Rock N Roll Circus is where the best in musical talent meets the weird and wonderful world of the circus.

Road to Nashville Outdoor Festival | SteelYard

Road to Nashville Outdoor Festival at Steelyard on the 29th August

The Graves Park Food and Drink Festival is back for 2026! Celebrating all things food, drink, performing arts & live music. August Bank Holiday Weekend 29th - 31st, 2026.

Float Along Festival 2026

Float Along Festival returns to Sheffield on Saturday 26 September 2026 for its fifth edition, transforming the city centre into a multi‑venue celebration of post‑punk, psychedelic rock, indie and alternative music.

A packed audience inside a low‑lit venue faces a stage with bright amber lighting, where musicians perform. Raised hands and silhouettes fill the scene, creating a lively concert atmosphere.

No Bounds 2026

No Bounds Festival returns to Sheffield from 9 -11 October 2026 for its ninth edition, transforming the city with another forward‑thinking weekend of music, art, technology and dance. Experience high‑energy performances, immersive installations and boundary‑pushing creativity across multiple unique venues.

Sheffield's original beer festival, celebrating its 50th year! Steel City Beer and Cider Festival is back at Kelham Island Museum 21 -24 October, with another massive selection of the best beer, cider and perry, plus live music and street food.
