2026 events
Off The Shelf Festival of Words 2026
Sheffield's annual festival celebrating books, words and ideas, is one of the UK’s largest literary festivals. Taking place 9 - 25 October, the festival will once again be bringing some of the biggest names in literary talent, media and the arts to South Yorkshire.

Steel City Beer and Cider Festival 2026
Sheffield's original beer festival, celebrating its 50th year! Steel City Beer and Cider Festival is back at Kelham Island Museum 21 -24 October, with another massive selection of the best beer, cider and perry, plus live music and street food.
Professor Brian Cox at Sheffield Arena
After performing his smash-hit show ‘Horizons’ to nearly half a million people across the world, Professor Brian Cox is back with his new world tour Emergence on Thursday 15 October.

Taking place across numerous outdoor locations in Sheffield City Centre on Sunday 25 October, this FREE to attend event is for anyone who enjoys sci-fi, comic books, gaming, magic, illusion, Halloween and all things spooky.
Arcnight at Don Valley Bowl
Experience a spectacular Bonfire Night celebration with huge fireworks displays, live entertainment, music, food vendors, drinks and an electric atmosphere in the heart of Sheffield.
The Mousetrap
Since 1952, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap has captivated the world with silent clues, shifting shadows and the best kept secret in theatre history. Now, the record-breaking classic embarks on its 75th Anniversary Tour across the UK and Ireland.

Sheffield Powerlifting Championships V
The Sheffield Powerlifting Championships returns to a bigger venue in 2026! The world's strongest powerlifters descend on Sheffield for one unforgettable night, battling for the ultimate title: Champion of Champions on Saturday 21 November 2026.
Sheffield Christmas Market 2026
One of the best festive markets in the UK, with over 50 log cabins offering seasonal food and drink and unique gift ideas, all set against the twinkly lights of Sheffield City Centre, 12 November - 26 December.

Singin' in the Rain

Bloc Party & Interpol Co-Headline Tour
Bloc Party and Interpol announce a co-headline tour that will unite two era-defining bands for a run of 18 dates across the UK and Europe in 2026, heading to Sheffield next November.

Cinderella | Lyceum Panto 2026
