Between June 27th and June 30th, James Barrett is opening a ‘pop-up’ restaurant in a Totally Tipi tent at Green Directions. Tables of 8 can be booked for the pop-up restaurant on Thursday (Charity night supporting Kids ‘n’ Cancer), Friday and Saturday nights with a more informal barbecue on Sunday night. During the day on Saturday and Sunday a bistro will offer a set menu with cookery demonstrations on Saturday and a wedding showcase on Sunday. Completing the programme, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and the Sheffield JCI are having a networking event on Thursday lunchtime.

Galvanize Sheffield is a perfect opportunity to see and purchase metalwork, meet contemporary designers and learn about the making process as well as hear about the latest innovations. The festival for 2013 features over 50 designers based in the region and beyond and hosts a unique programme produced by Ruskin Mill Trust, Sheffield Assay Office, Yorkshire Artspace, Museums Sheffield, Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust along with input from manufacturers and independent makers. Galvanize also forms part of the city’s celebrations of 100 years of stainless steel. The festival is expected to attract visitors from within the region and beyond.
