Games Education Summit: 15-16 April 2019

12 April 2019

The first event to be hosted at the fabulous Ko-Host in Castle House, the inaugural Games Education Summit 2019 is set to take place in Sheffield next week, 15 and 16 April 2019, which aims to “bridge the gap between games educators and the games sector”.

Launched by the The BGI, it’s a pioneering move to bring a whole host of people together to discuss the educational role within gaming, focussing on "employability, diversity, skills required by studios, apprenticeships, how industry can collaborate with educators, best practice pedagogical and course design and starting up from university."

Keynotes will be delivered by Ian Livingstone CBE, Mike Gamble from Epic Games, Dr Jake Habgood from Sheffield Hallam University and Dr Chris Lowthorpe from London College of Communication.

The Summit is sponsored by Sheffield Hallam University, Epic Games, Kollider, Aardvark Swift, Staffordshire University and AIM Awards.

With the National Videogame Museum also used as part of the summit, it’s certain to be a unique and momentous event that Sheffield is incredibly proud to be a part of. You can get your ticket here.
