Commencing in January 2018, Bloc Projects will be delivering our Artist Development Programme (ADP) to provide resources and opportunities to artists locally, nationally and internationally by focusing on a range of talks, discussions, one-on-one sessions and an international artistic exchange.
We are therefore looking for a Public Programme Curator to carry out the delivery of the main components of the Artist Development Programme.
The post-holder will work with the Bloc Projects Director and Board of Directors to deliver the following:
- Curate, select and deliver a monthly programme of engaging public discussions and talks.
- Coordinate bi-monthly portfolio review programme for artists and makers based in Sheffield.
- Work closely with the Director and board to develop a legacy strategy for the continuation of the public programme.

Terms & conditions:
The post holder will be registered as self-employed and responsible for their own tax and national insurance.
Hours: It is expected that the post-holder will initially work 2 days/ week, the pattern of which will be subject to varying demand and delivery of the programme.
The Artist Development Programme forms part of Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
