The COBIS Games is an exciting and unique sporting event which draws together young people from around the world to take part in three days of competitive sport (swimming, athletics and football). The event is not only a celebration of sport for young people, but also a celebration of a shared global community with a common link to the UK.
Following a successful bid, the 2017, 2018 and 2019 editions of COBIS Secondary Games are due to be hosted in Sheffield.
Taking place Friday 19- Sunday 21 May, the 2017 Secondary Games will see 27 schools fly to UK to compete in Sheffield, with swimming taking place at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, athletics at Sheffield Hallam University’s City Athletics Stadium and 5-aside football at St George’s Park, Sheffield Graves.
Sheffield is the perfect host for the Games as the city has a strong sporting pedigree built on world class facilities, high participation rates and an excellent track record of hosting major international sports events.
