They’re in! The first trails of The Outdoor City Run Routes scheme are now marked out across Sheffield. So all we need to do now is get our trainers on and enjoy them! Designed to cater for everyone’s pace (from serious runners to people taking a leisurely stroll and everything in between) these new routes are the perfect excuse to find your pace and discover Sheffield’s green doorstep. Company background: Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens (SSK) design, supply and fit high quality kitchens, with sustainability and being ethically responsible particularly important in their work. They are a small, growing Sheffield based company and encourage team members to put forward ideas and suggestions for improvement.
We speak to Rob Cole, Director of SSK and graduates Ollie Leyland from the University of Leeds and Matt Jay from the University of Sheffield on bringing different experiences and skills to the team.
The Sheffield Makers Shop will be opening its doors for a special after hours launch event on Thursday 16th June. Between 5pm and 7pm The Sheffield Winter Gardens will be home to demonstrations, refreshments and a chance to meet the makers alongside giveaways and special offers in the store.

Creative Sheffield – the economic development arm of Sheffield City Council and a panel of managing partners of leading law firms have come together in London to discuss the benefits of North Shoring to Sheffield.
Businesses are lining up to support Sheffield’s growing reputation as The Outdoor City with the message: “It pays to be outdoors.”

Skills for Careers, an educational academy based in Sheffield’s city centre which provides young people between the age of 16-23 with an alternative educational route to employment, has created 76 jobs thanks to a grant from Sheffield City Region.
