Signs positive at local graphics firm

Enquiries have almost doubled at a local signage company after it took advantage of support available from Business Sheffield.
Dyson Signs and Graphics, that has worked with clients like the University of Sheffield, Thorntons and Hallmark, got in touch with Business Sheffield, a partner of the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Project after hearing about it at a networking event.
The Enhancement Project is aimed at supporting growth businesses and is financed by the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
Jon Denton, Business Sheffield Key Account Manager, helped Dyson develop a comprehensive marketing plan, conducted a training needs analysis and suggested ideas to help the family-run business thrive – support that has seen an increase in the business’ conversion rate.
Adam Dyson, Company Director at Dyson Signs and Graphics, said: “The support we have received has been fantastic.
“Our Key Account Manager is friendly, relaxed and has recommended a range of ideas on how to move us forward.”
Following a strategic recommendation from Business Sheffield, the company has focused on its most profitable areas of work.
Enquiries have almost doubled, with the firm’s customer base also growing significantly.
Adam added: “Getting an outsider’s opinion has given us more confidence and is already delivering results.
“We are going in the right direction, and I would highly recommend that any business in Sheffield gets in touch with Business Sheffield to help them stay on the right track, too.”
Dyson Signs and Graphics is based at Holbrook Commerce Park near Westfield in the south east of the city.
Its high-profile projects include rebranding all the large-scale external signage on Sheffield Hallam University’s flagship buildings.
The Enhancement Project provides businesses with intensive one-to-one support from a Key Account Manager and access to free Masterclasses delivered by private sector experts.
